Hello people of the internet :) I have been wanting to restart writing my blog for so so long, but I just don't know what to write about. I don't have a specific 'thing' to focus on .. I love music, reading, fashion, fitness, going out with friends, travelling etc etc and to me I can't just pin down what I want this blog to be about without writing about everything that I love.
I am currently 24 years old and having a bit of a quarter life crisis. So as I am trying to figure life out I thought hey, why not write it all down and be able to look back on it in years to come.
I can't promise what this blog is going to be- it is literally a mis-match of everything, from photos of days out or holidays to writing about the new clothes I buy, monthly favourites to things that make me happy on a weekly basis. And then maybe even my feelings, because they always say it's better to write it down than keep it in, and maybe if people are feeling the same as me - we can all make each other feel better!
I think life is at a very confusing stage right now- especially as it feels everyone around me knows what they're doing and starting to settle down, whereas I am still living at home with my mum, in a job that I do enjoy but can't see it being forever and in a long distance relationship which can sometimes be quite a bit poo. But I like reading blogs from people who are around the same age as me and feeling like I am feeling- it makes me feel like I don't have to have it all figured out right this second or even this year.
Anyway, now that that's out there; here's some of the things I am looking forward to in the next few months:
I've got my friend's hen do in a couple of weeks and then the next day I'm heading down to London for another friend's birthday and I will get to see one of my bestest friends who I haven't seen for almost two years as she's only been back in the country a couple of months. So I am super duper excited to see her. Then later that week my boyfriend will be coming up for a long weekend, hopefully I'm also booking to go back to Turkey in July with my bestie for our last holiday before she flies out to Abu Dhabi to live and work there. Then the hen do friend has her wedding in August, it's also my birthday and then my boyfriend's a week after. And hopefully to finish off the summer me and boyfriend will be going away on holiday to celebrate the end of his Masters degree.
I am also hoping to throw the Colour Run (or one of it's off-springs) in to the plans as well.
So it is all looking to be a good summer if everything goes according to plan!
Right well, I think that's enough rambling for today. I'm looking forward to seeing what this blog turns into, I think it'll give me something to focus and a new hobby!

Winter Wonderland Tag
I am so so excited for Christmas- more this year than I have been in a looong time. I think it's because for the first year in 7 years I'm not working in retail (except for a few hours on a Saturday) and instead get to enjoy the time off with my family and friends.
Also my friends from camp are all coming to Newcastle for New Year's and I am ridiculously excited because I haven't seen some of them in almost a year and a half!!!
So anyway- that'll be a whole different post nearer the time, but for now let's concentrate on Christmas! I found this tag on Jen's Youtube channel- I've been having a marathon of her Vlogiday's videos over the past week, and so I am feeling extra festive.
Let's get cracking..
1. What do you like best about winter?
Definitely snow if we ever get it, it's usually more wet and rainy here than snowy in the winter (but I have my fingers crossed for this year)!
I also like getting really snuggly with all the layers, lots of hot drinks, sitting by the fire.. aand being able to get into my pjs as soon as I get home from work.
2. Scarves or Beanies?
This is hard because I love both, I guess scarves because my winter coat has a furry hood if my head got chilly. But I do wear both throughout winter.
3. What's your favourite holiday movie?
I love The Grinch! I think that my have to be my favourite- but coming in at a close second.. and third would be The Santa Clause and Elf.. oooh and Miracle on 34th Street- ah I can't choose!
4. Favourite Winter nail polish?
This year I am loving Barry M's Textured Countess. But I also like China Glaze Twinkle Lights - usually over a random red nail varnish- because it's so Christmassy.
5. Favourite Starbucks Holiday Drink?
I actually prefer Costa.. and this year I am so excited to have the Black Forest Hot Chocolate mm mmm. But I do want to pop into Starbucks this year to try the Eggnog latte, I think I had it a few years ago but I can't remember if I enjoyed it.
6. What are you top 3 winter essentials?
My boots, Christmas scented candles aand lots of jumpers.
7. Name one item on your wish list this year.
I reeeally want a new pair of Just Sheepskin boots, I've had my other two for about 5 or 6 years and they're looking a little worse for a wear.
8. Favourite holiday song?
Shakin' Stevens- Merry Christmas Everyone. Best song everrr! And the only one I save listening to until December.
But I also like A Spaceman Came Travelling- Chris De Burgh- it reminds me of walking around the houses looking at all the Christmas lights when I was younger :)
9. Are you going Black Friday shopping this year?
We didn't have this in the UK until I think like last year, and I didn't even realise it was happening - luckily I worked the early shift and got out of the shop before it got craaaazy. But no- if it is happening again this year over here then I will not be going anywhere unless there are any good deals on the internet, because people are craayzay and also violent if the newspapers where correct last year!
10. Must have winter lip product?
Any kind of chapstick- I'm not fussed.
11. Will you be rocking an ugly Christmas sweater this year?
I'll be 'rocking' Christmas jumpers for suure but I don't think they could be classed as ugly. I think mine are lurrvly.
12. Have you ever had a White Christmas where you live?
We have.. a long time ago.. I can't even remember when it was. It usually snows in February or something silly like that. But let's all have our fingers and toes crossed that we get some snow this year! It would also be really funny to see how Casper reacts to snow as this would be his first time seeing any or going out in it and I'll have my camera at the ready! (Casper's my little cat fyi ;))
Roll on Christmas!!!!

The Bucket List
I've been making Bucket Lists for years and years on random bits of paper and in notebooks.. most of which I can't find any more- so this way- unless the internet suddenly shuts down- I can keep ticking it off as I go and never lose it!
Tattoo
Go to Disneyland in their Christmas season again
Go to Disney World
Go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Go to the Harry Potter Studios in London
Learn to dive
Go Paddleboarding
Own all the Disney Classics
Re-read all the Harry Potter books
Go to Vegas
Skydive
Scuba dive
Learn to surf
White water rapids
Spend New Year in Times Square
See the Northern Lights
Go on a cruise
Travel First Class- train or plane
I will keep adding to this as more ideas come to me. But what a bloody amazing life if I manage to tick off all of these!!

World Cup 2014
I wasn't going to watch the World Cup.. I had no interest in Football.. that is until last night. Now this is a very superficial reason to watch it, but who am I to deny my eyes the privilege of seeing the most beautiful man I think I have ever seen.
You see, I went to watch the Opening Ceremony as I love a bit of Pitbull, however I missed that and thanks to clapping my eyes upon one extremely gorgeous Brazilian ended up watching the entire game. And I have no regrets.
The man in question:

Neymar da Silva Santos Jr.
Ooooof. I can't stop looking at him.
I think I'm in love. (Sorry Matt!)
(I am one of those people who go all out obsessive on someone, I've been watching Youtube videos of him and I like him even more!)
Go Brazil!!

A Tick Off The Bucket List
On Sunday I did the Colour Run in London! I've been wanting to do it for absolutely ages, luckily the boyfriend lives down there and was more than happy to run with me! Although he actually enjoys running and can run a whooole load faster than I can ha.. I had to keep reminding him to slow down to jog with me ;)
I had so much fun, running through the 'colour zones' were surreal, suddenly being surrounded by pink, blue, yellow or orange powder on the floor, in the air.. in your face.. great fun! I would definitely definitely recommend anyone to do it, and if you don't want to run it- fine, the majority of people in our 'wave' seemed to want to walk it (although this was a liittle annoying when you wanted to run and couldn't get round them but hey! It's a fun run!)
Also the looks from people on the tube and walk home- hilarious!
Hope you all had a great weekend!

I need a hobby.
Like.. a hobby, hobby.
I don't know what kind to go for? I know that sounds silly, but I like reading and that's about the extent of my 'extra-curricular' activities (unless you count the internet which really just opens up a whole new can of worms.. youtube, blogs, facebook etc etc).
But I don't count that as a hobby, and I really really want to have a 'proper' one. One when a job interviewer asks me 'so what do you do in your spare time' I don't just answer 'er.. I go on the internet all day every day' -_-
I don't know whether it's because I feel like I'll miss out on something, or that there's just so much stuff on the internet that I get lost reading or watching things and before I know it there's another day over!
Anyway..
I've had a little look on Wikipedia at their list of hobbies and have picked a few out- mostly that I know I will like and want to do. My aim is in the weeks leading up to the New Year I am going to give the ones I've picked a really good go and see if any of them take my fancy and become something I really enjoy.
1. Blogging (Obviously, but again I want to make a conscious effort to keep going with this!) I also need to actually do things in my life that make me have something to blog about!
2. Colouring .. I know I know but it's so therapeutic, I have tons of colouring pencils, I just need the book!
3. Cooking, I want to try and make one new recipe a week!
4. Foreign Language Learning- tomorrow I'm going to head down to my local library and get out at least 4 books or DVD's to help me learn Spanish. It's a language I have always wanted to know.
5. Juggling- I can't juggle! I would love to learn.
6. Keep fit- I have so many fitness DVD's that are getting no use whatsoever. I aim to get back into the swing of things and make sure I do some sort of exercise (I have dance ones, zumba, pilates, cardio, toning etc etc) at least twice a week. More if I'm feeling it. Also a lot of the time my job gives me a great cardio and strength workout when I'm in the stockroom - but I am not letting that count as part of it.
7. Reading- I'm going to read 4 books before New Year!
8. Yoga- I am probably the least flexible person you will meet, but I've been reading a lot lately about 'self love' and relaxing and many books and websites suggest yoga.
9. Go for a walk, once a week I am going to get out of the house and go for a walk, whether it is along the seafront, the pier, the woods whatever. I live next to such a beautiful coastline and I never take advantage of it.
Might as well round it up to a big number eh?
10. Take more photographs. I am not going to be the best photographer in the world, but I need to start using my camera (phone or regular) more often. I'm getting a new camera for Christmas so I can do this better after then, but I think I might try and upload at least four instagram photos a week, I love looking back on what I've done and I figure that's the easiest way to do it for now.
There we have it. 10 things before New Year that I am going to have a good old go at. Let's see what happens!

Rest In Peace Molly Mittens
A sad post today, our gorgeous pussycat Molly Mittens had to be put to sleep on Friday after she fought and fought to overcome a horrendous fox bite.
We took her to the vets last Monday morning as we noticed her looking very uncomfortable on Sunday night. Originally the vet said she had a really bad urine infection, but once she went through a few more tests and an operation we found out that her bowel was punctured and she had an abscess near her rectum, from an apparent fox bite that couldn't have been in a worse place.
They did all they could, fixed up her bowel again and she was getting better by Wednesday but unfortunately on Thursday she went downhill and so we went to visit her where she seemed to perk up a little bit in the hour we were there. But she looked so sad and the vet basically said we need to make a decision in the next 24 hours, he, my mum and myself wanted to give her a bit more of a chance so we were giving it till Friday afternoon, but sadly I got the text from my mum on Friday morning as I was on my way to London saying that it was all over, she'd gone even more downhill over night and it wasn't fair to keep putting her through it.
Needless to say we are devastated, she was 9 years old and in the last year or so had really become a more friendly cat, wanting to sit on our knees and letting us stroke her a lot more than she used to.
I've just come back from London today and my mum has just gone away, and the house just seems so quiet and empty.
